Pre-Implantation Genetic Testing

Includes PGT-A ( pre-implantation genetic testing- Aneuploidy) and PGD (Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis)

PGT-A is usually recommended to couple with advanced maternal age, recurrent implantation failures/ repeated IVF failures , recurrent pregnancy losses, severe male factor infertility, as in this the embryos are screened for any chromosomal abnormalities prior to transfer via embryo biopsy and only normal embryos are then transferred in the uterus. 

PGT-D is recommended to a couple where there is risk of transmitting a genetic disease (like X linked disorders, single gene disorders, chromosomal disorders) from the parents to the child. Here the embryos are tested for any genetic disease by a biopsy prior to implantation and only healthy embryos are then transferred inside the uterus of the female.
